|Course of Chernobyl releases|
With data pooled by European countries, it was possible to reconstruct the path of radioactive dust. Much of the released radioactivity was found in the releases emitted on April 26, 1986, which, after heading toward the Scandinavian countries, fall back toward the east and south. Releases of April 27, impelled westward reach France by the eastern and southeastern regions. These traverse the territory between April 30 and May 5. Releases issued after April 27 will contaminate the eastern and southern Europe.
